Parmesan Ranch Chicken Nuggets

Parmesan Ranch Chicken Nuggets are a super easy weeknight meal that the whole family will love.

Just a few simple ingredients transform regular chicken into some pretty darn delicious crispy chicken nuggets.

The best part is they are baked in the oven instead of fried…so a pretty healthy way to enjoy chicken nuggets!

How to make Parmesan Ranch Chicken Nuggets

The breading is a mixture of panko bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, and a packet of dry ranch seasoning.

Mix these together in a bowl and it brings both the amazing crunch AND the flavor 🙂

I cut a pound and a half of chicken breasts into bite size pieces.

The breading station has the chicken, the panko ,mixture, and an egg that I beat with some water.

I added the water to the egg to make the breading just a bit lighter.

Dip each piece of chicken into the egg.

Then into the panko mixture, and onto a wire baking rack over a lined baking sheet.

If you don’t have a wire baking rack, no worries…just place right onto a lined baking sheet.

Sprinkle the chicken with kosher salt and pepper, then into a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes.

No need to flip or turn at all, just 25 minutes by themselves and that’s it 🙂

Serve with ranch dressing and/or ketchup for dipping.

We like to mix the two together actually.

My kids enjoyed having a nice simple dinner of Parmesan Ranch Chicken Nuggets and Air Fryer Garlic Rosemary Potatoes!

My husband and I especially enjoyed a dinner filled with lots of laughter and “yummmssss!” instead of dinner complaints!

I know you parents feel me on that one 😉

Parmesan Ranch Chicken Nuggets

Yummy chicken bites in a crunchy parmesan breading

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning
  • kosher salt, pepper
  • Optional: ranch dressing and/ or ketchup for dipping

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite size nuggets.

  2. Beat the egg with water in a small bowl.

  3. In another bowl add the panko bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, and dry ranch seasoning. Stir until evenly mixed.

  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and set a wire baking rack over top. Dip each chicken nugget into the egg and then into the panko mixture, pressing the crumbs into the chicken so it sticks. Place the chicken nuggets onto the wire baking rack. Sprinkle with kosher salt and pepper.

    Note: If you don't have a wire baking rack, place chicken directly onto the lined baking sheet.

  5. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes. Serve with ranch dressing and/or ketchup if desired.
