Maple Mustard Chicken Wings
This recipe for Maple Mustard Chicken Wings can be smoked, cooked on the Traeger pellet grill, or baked in the oven.
And you can control how spicy you want them by adding a lot of crushed red pepper flakes, or just a little.
Of all of my chicken wing recipes, this is close to the top of my favorites…and one of the simplest as well.
Sometimes we need a little simplicity in our lives, right?!
How to make Maple Mustard Chicken Wings
I marinated some fresh, jumbo split chicken wings overnight in some pure maple syrup, dijon mustard, and soy sauce.
Then sprinkled them on all sides with kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
This day was a gorgeous, sunny, day that was perfect for smoking some wings and patio drinking with the husband.
I set the smoker to 250 degrees and let them smoke for about 2 and a half hours.
If you have a Traeger grill/smoker, you can turn it to high during the last 15 minutes or so to create a crispier skin if you prefer.
When I made the maple mustard sauce, I used only a few spoonfuls as the marinade.
The rest I saved to brush over top of the wings and to serve on the side.
I mean, just take a minute to look at that gorgeous golden color!
I think I just drooled a little…YUM!
Serve these Maple Mustard Chicken Wings with more of the sauce on the side and enjoy!
