Green Beans with Bacon

You may think it’s hard to get excited about greens beans.
I have made this side dish for years, always the same way, and my family asks for it over and over again.
I have served it for family dinners, but also made it in a larger quantity for parties.
After it’s done simply put in a casserole dish and warm in the oven before serving.
How to make Green Beans with Bacon
It starts by trimming a pound of trimmed green beans.
And put them in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes.
Drain and set them aside.
Next, in a skillet over medium heat cut some bacon slices directly into the pan using kitchen scissors.
Let the bacon cook a few minutes and then drain some of the grease.
Add a diced onion to the skillet with the bacon and cook a few more minutes.
Then add the green beans along with some butter, garlic, kosher salt, pepper, and season salt.
Cook another 5 minutes or so and it’s ready to go đŸ™‚
Always taste right before serving to check for seasoning.
Add more kosher salt, pepper, and/or season salt if needed.
I sure hope you and your family enjoy Green Beans with Bacon as much as we do đŸ™‚
