Garlic Parmesan Air Fryer Chicken Tenders could be a busy mom’s best friend.
This could quite possibly be the perfect family dinner.
It’s kid friendly, easy to make, and also guilt free because it’s done in the air fryer.
It’s mid May.
End of school craziness, spring sports are in full swing, and warmer weather that in my opinion, sets in just a little bit of crazy in the kids.
I promise this dinner is do-able even by the busiest of busy moms.
How to make Garlic Parmesan Air Fryer Chicken Tenders
The breading is panko bread crumbs, shredded parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, kosher salt and pepper.
Grated parmesan can be substituted, I went with the shredded just because that’s what I had in my fridge.
Cut some chicken breasts into smaller chicken strips, dip each in some beaten eggs and the panko breading.
Really press the breading into the chicken so it sticks.
Place them into the air fryer and set for 14 minutes at 390 degrees.
If you have a smaller air fryer like me, just do them in two batches.
By the time everyone wants seconds, they will be hot and ready.
As these air fryer chicken tenders cook, you get the added bonus that they smell amazing!
They should come up with a garlic parmesan scented candle or something!
They get crispy, crunchy, and perfectly golden brown!
We are dippers in my family, so I made a dipping sauce.
Correction, actually my husband and son made the sauce by combining 3/4 cup ranch dressing, 1/4 cup of the shredded parmesan, and some fresh black pepper.
He was pretty proud, it was his first dipping sauce 🙂

Garlic Parmesan Air Fryer Chicken Tenders
Super flavorful chicken tenders crisped to perfection in the air fryer
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 1/2 cups panko bread crumbs
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 Tbsps garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp kosher salt
- 1/2 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 eggs
- Optional dipping sauce: 3/4 cup Ranch dressing, 1/4 cup shredded parmesan, fresh cracked pepper mixed together
Cut the chicken breasts into smaller chicken strips.
In a bowl add the panko bread crumbs, shredded parmesan cheese, garlic powder, kosher salt, Italian seasoning, and pepper. Stir until evenly mixed.
Beat the two eggs in a separate bowl.
Dip each chicken strip into the egg mixture and into the panko mixture. Press the panko and cheese mixture into the chicken so it sticks. Place the chicken into the air fryer basket. Repeat with remaining chicken strips.
Note: Depending on the size of your air fryer you may need to make this in two smaller batches.
Set the air fryer for 14 minutes at 390 degrees.
Serve with the optional dipping sauce if desired.
