How to make Crock Pot Chicken Wonton Soup
First put 1 1/2-pounds chicken breasts into your slow cooker.
Season with kosher salt and pepper plus a good amount of minced garlic.
A diced onion and a cup of shredded carrots join the party next.
Honestly, any order of these ingredients is perfectly fine.
This is just the way I threw them into the Crock Pot.
Plenty of minced or grated ginger and 6 cups of chicken broth go in next.
You could go with bone broth for even more healthiness!
Then 3 tablespoons soy sauce.
And set your slow cooker to low for 6 to 8 hours.
Finally, shred the chicken right in the Crock Pot using two forks.
And add some sliced green onions and a bag of frozen mini wontons that have been thawed, I had a 24-ounce bag.
Let this cook on low for at least another 30 minutes.
Crock Pot Chicken Wonton Soup was incredibly tasty and perfect for a cold day!
I topped mine with sriracha for spice and chopped peanuts for a nice crunchy texture.
Like chicken noodle soup with an Asian twist!
We did not have any leftovers which is always a good sign.
