Philly Cheesesteak Casserole
All the yumminess of a Philly Cheesesteak in one cheesy, comforting dish… this recipe for Philly Cheesesteak Casserole is incredible!
My husband and son are steak lovers for sure, so they were quite excited about this comfort food dinner recipe.
How to make Philly Cheesesteak Casserole
First set a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil, a diced onion, green bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms.
And season with kosher salt, pepper, and steak seasoning of choice.
Cook this for 5 to 6 minutes.
Then add 2 pounds of diced steak, fresh minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, plus more kosher salt, pepper, and steak seasoning.
And cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
Let this mixture cool for a bit.
Then add a can of cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese.
Mix this until combined and put in a 9×13 casserole dish.
For the crumb topping, put 45 Ritz crackers into a gallon size plastic bag.
Use a rolling pin to crush them and then add 2 tablespoons of melted butter and toss together.
Finally, pour the buttery cracker crumbs over the casserole and spread evenly.
Then bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
Just enough time so the casserole is hot, bubbly, and melty.
And the topping is a gorgeous golden brown.
Philly Cheesesteak Casserole is a creamy, cheesy, decadent dinner 🙂
Every bite is filled with Philly Cheesesteak goodness!
