Fireball Whiskey French Toast

Fireball Whiskey French Toast

As I was sitting at my son’s football practice last week, I got a text from my husband that said “Fireball Whiskey French Toast on the griddle might be a good recipe to work on”.

Ummmm…Yes please! I keep him around for genius ideas just like this đŸ˜‰

My process for developing recipes starts with me writing a basic recipe, and then recipe testing it to get it perfect.

So as I was getting out the ingredients I stood on a chair to look for the cinnamon.

And happened to find a fake stack of $100’s from my son’s Halloween costume.

This literally is what my daughter and her boyfriend walked in to as they came over for breakfast!

Couldn’t have timed it better even if I tried…never a dull moment around here đŸ™‚

How to Make Fireball Whiskey French Toast

I did end up finding the cinnamon after we all had a good laugh.

Into a bowl goes four eggs, Fireball, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.

Also some whole milk, or you can use flavored coffee creamer for some extra yumminess.

Whisk it all together until combined.

For me, french toast is ALL about the bread.

Thick sliced brioche bread is what I used and would highly recommend.

Preheat a skillet or Blackstone griddle to medium heat.

Once it’s nice and hot add some butter and then dip each piece of bread in the egg mixture.

Get both sides of the bread nice and coated.

Then into the skillet or onto the griddle.

I used my Blackstone griddle so was able to cook all 8 pieces at once.

If using a skillet you’ll do a few smaller batches.

Serve Fireball Whiskey French Toast with some butter, maple syrup, and maybe even a breakfast shot of Fireball?

We had ours also with some fresh berries and a side of bacon.

Well, the husband was right once again, the cinnamon and whiskey flavor really turned ordinary french toast into a spectacular breakfast.
