Honey Chipotle Salmon
Honey Chipotle Salmon is the recipe my mom picked for our every Monday lunch together.
I love this quality time each Monday with my parents, and I’m sure they love a home cooked lunch each week 🙂
I made it two ways, both in the air fryer and on the Blackstone griddle to experiment.
I’ve made it in the past in the oven too.
All three ways it came out fabulous!
How to Make Honey Chipotle Salmon
The sauce is so easy to make, simply combine honey, soy sauce, chipotle chili powder, and garlic.
This chipotle chili powder is what adds the heat.
It’s the perfect combo of sweet and spicy 🙂
Put half of the mixture in a bowl and set it aside for a dipping sauce.
And brush the other half over 4 salmon fillets.
If you are cooking the salmon in the air fryer, put the salmon skin side down in the air fryer basket.
Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 12 minutes.
If you are cooking them in a skillet or on the Blackstone griddle, preheat to medium heat for a few minutes.
Add some oil and then the salmon for 3 to 5 minutes per side.
As you can see, the salmon gets a nice golden brown caramelized color in the air fryer.
YUM!
And in a skillet or griddle it’s more of a charred color.
That’s because of the honey on the hot surface.
Don’t mistake this for burnt though, it’s a super flavorful crust and this one was the winner for best tasting compared to the air fryer salmon.
Honey Chipotle Salmon was great with the extra dipping sauce on the side!
