Air Fryer Hoisin Salmon Burgers
This easy recipe for Air Fryer Hoisin Salmon Burgers held together perfectly, and no need to flip.
This was my first time making salmon burgers in the air fryer, and will be my go-to way from here on out.
They tend to be so delicate and I’m always nervous when flipping them in a skillet.
Salmon is so healthy and we have it pretty often. Enjoying salmon as burgers was a nice change.
Here is how to make them…
Start with a one pound salmon fillet.
Carefully remove the skin by either cutting it with a sharp knife.
Or start peeling it back with your hands. I started mine with a knife and peeled the rest.
If your salmon rips or tears, no worries since it will get all chopped up into a burger anyway.
Cut the salmon into 2 inch pieces and put them in a food processor.
Pulse the food processor a few times so there are still some small pieces of salmon and not completely blended.
Put the salmon into a bowl with grated carrot, chopped cilantro, breadcrumbs, garlic, a beaten egg, and of course some hoisin sauce.
The best tool to form the patties is your hands.
Bring everything together in the bowl until combined.
Then form into 4 patties and place right in the air fryer.
The patties will be delicate, so putting them straight into the basket works best.
Sprinkle some kosher salt, pepper, and sesame seeds over top.
It gives a nice texture but also looks so pretty!
Set the air fryer to 380 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
And serve them on burger buns or just as they are.
We added toppings like spicy mayo, cilantro, and Sweet Pickled Red Onions to our Air Fryer Hoisin Salmon Burgers.
These were for sure one of my favorite salmon burgers ever and I can’t wait to make even more in the air fryer with some different flavors.

We had an extra patty leftover so I packed it for lunch. The spicy mayo and Sweet Pickled Red Onions were on the side. And I packed the bun in a baggie.
O..M..G it was even phenomenal the next day!
