Orange Cranberry Turkey Tenderloin

Orange Cranberry Turkey Tenderloin

This easy Orange Cranberry Turkey Tenderloin recipe that I made the other night was phenomenal.

Perhaps I have underestimated just how tender and juicy turkey breast tenderloins are!

You have two choices for cooking these, either in the oven or on the Traeger Pellet Grill if you have one.

The Traeger version gives a little smoky flavor.

How to Make Orange Cranberry Turkey Tenderloin

First make the orange cranberry glaze.

In a small saucepan add orange juice, jellied cranberry sauce, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic.

ingredients for the recipe

Whisk it together and bring to a boil.

At first the jellied cranberry is in whole lumps, but it soon melts and becomes one with the glaze.

Once it comes to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

Set this aside and start on the turkey.

sauce before becoming a glaze

I bought a pack of turkey breast tenderloins that were 1 1/2 pounds.

In the package were two rather large tenderloins.

Each one served two people in my family.

Season them with kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.

You can place these on a baking sheet and cook in a 400 degree oven.

Or heat your Traeger Pellet Grill to 400 degrees and place them right on the grill grates.

These will cook about 35 to 45 minutes.

Or until the internal temp is at 165 degrees.

Flip them halfway through and also brush with the glaze a few times during the last half of cooking.

These were so juicy and tender we only needed a fork to cut them.

Orange Cranberry Turkey Tenderloin

My go to is usually chicken, but with my family’s reaction to this turkey dish, I have a feeling turkey will get requested more often.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1/2 Tbsp ginger paste or minced ginger
  • 1/2 Tbsp garlic paste or minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 pounds turkey breast tenderloins (2 came in my package)
  • kosher salt, pepper, crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Put the orange juice, cranberry sauce, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to simmer for 5 minutes, stir until it's combined and has a glaze consistency.

Note: Watch carefully as it comes to boil, if it bubbles up just remove from heat for a few seconds.

  2. Season the turkey tenderloins with kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.

In the oven: Place the turkey on a baking sheet and into a 400 degree oven for 35 to 45 minutes, flipping halfway through. Brush with the glaze a few times during the last half of cooking.

On the Traeger: Place the turkey tenderloins on the grill grate of the Traeger preheated to 400 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes, flipping halfway through. Brush with the glaze a few times during the last half of cooking.

Note: The internal temp should be 165 degrees.

  3. Serve the remaining orange cranberry glaze for dipping.
