Slow Cooker French Onion Chicken and Noodles
I think I nailed it with this Slow Cooker French Onion Chicken and Noodles recipe!
Crock Pot comfort food was my goal for this dish… creamy, noodly goodness that makes you feel warm and cozy.
This one is very easy and kid friendly as well, which is always important if you’re cooking for your family.
Here is how to make Slow Cooker French Onion Chicken and Noodles
I started mine the morning before leaving for work and it took only a few minutes.
Chicken breasts and a diced onion go into the slow cooker first.
Then season with kosher salt and pepper.
Next mix together sour cream, two packets of onion dip seasoning, cream of chicken soup, and cream of onion soup.
Pour this mixture over the chicken and onions in the slow cooker.
Set it to low for 6 to 8 hours.
After slow cooking all day, this is what I came home to.
Shred the chicken in the slow cooker with two forks.
This next step is optional, adding in 4 cups of chopped spinach.
I had this spinach left from Italian Sausage and Orzo Soup, so I threw it in and it really was yummy plus added some nutrients to this meal.
It looks like a TON at first.
But once you stir it in and it cooks for a bit, it wilts down to almost nothing.
Stir in 4 cups of cooked egg noodles and then top with crispy fried onions.
Adds a little extra flavor and crunch đŸ™‚
Slow Cooker French Onion Chicken and Noodles got 5 stars in our home.
Also the leftovers were amazing!
YUM!
