I have made Garlic Parmesan Fingerling Potatoes in the oven several time, so I thought I would try Air Fryer Fingerling Potatoes as well.
Fingerling Potatoes are so fun!
Half are white and half are purple!
But I promise they all taste the same… keep reading and I will tell you about our little taste test with my eight year old.
How to make Air Fryer Fingerling Potatoes
This is one pound of petite fingerling potatoes.
Cut them in half lengthwise and an even prettier color is revealed!
The next step is putting the potatoes in a bowl.
Then tossing them with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, and pepper.
And then put them in the air fryer basket.
Trying to get a single layer, but it’s perfectly fine if some overlap.

Set the air fryer for 15 minutes at 390 degrees and they are crispy and cooked to perfection!
So we did have quite the debate at dinner over these Air Fryer Fingerling Potatoes.
My son insisted that the purple ones tasted different.
Instead of trying to convince him they all taste the same, we had a blind taste test.
I cut some of the white and purple potatoes into small pieces, he closed his eyes, and I fed him the potatoes.
Honestly only one time out of the six times did he get them correct.
Moral of the story… all fingerling potatoes taste the same, and also have fun at the dinner table 🙂
