Sun Dried Tomato and Goat Cheese Crostini
Sun Dried Tomato and Goat Cheese Crostini is the perfect recipe for serving at a party because it is served at room temp and holds up for several hours.
“Crostini” seems like a fancy word, but it really just means “little toasts” topped with something or other.
I had something similar at a party probably 15 years ago.
I recreated it as best I could because it was so delicious and pretty.
How to Make Sun Dried Tomato and Goat Cheese Crostini
Just slice a french baguette into half inch slices, which is about about 16 slices.
I like to slice a little diagonal because I think it looks prettier.
Place on a baking sheet and brush with some olive oil right over top.
Then just sprinkle with a little kosher salt and pepper.
Bake at 400 degrees just for 5 minutes.
This is just enough time to crisp them slightly, but they are still soft in the center.
Once the crostini are cooled slightly, spread some goat cheese on top.
If you don’t like goat cheese, a perfect replacement is cream cheese.
Next top them with slices of sun dried tomatoes, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and some fresh basil.
Sun Dried Tomato and Goat Cheese Crostini is the perfect snack and appetizer!
I buy the balsamic glaze in a squeeze bottle in the vinegar section at the store instead of making my own.
They also have it available from Amazon. I mean, isn’t just about everything available there?!
