Cast Iron Steak Nachos with Candied Jalapenos
I made Honey Bourbon Grilled Steak yesterday and we had some steak leftover, so my mind instantly said “Maaaaaake Naaaaachos!” And so Cast Iron Steak Nachos with Candied Jalapenos came to be just like that.
Obviously if you don’t have Candied Jalapenos, you could leave them out or use pickled jalapenos instead…
but I will say it was the Candied Jalapenos that really make this dish extra special and unique.
They are very simple to make and you can make a whole jar and then you’ll have them ready to go whenever you want them 🙂
How to Make Cast Iron Steak Nachos
Cover the bottom of a cast iron skillet (or baking sheet) with tortilla chips and top with lots of cheese and the leftover steak.
I added blue cheese as a last minute decision, so forgive that it’s not in the first picture 😉
It goes into the oven with the broiler set to high, on the middle rack for 3 or 4 minutes.
If you put it on the top rack it will burn (trust me, I’ve been there, done that 😉 )
All that’s left is to top it off Cast Iron Steak Nachos with sour cream and the Candied Jalapenos.
Honestly I topped mine off with about 3 times as many jalapenos as what’s in the picture.
The salty blue cheese along with the sweet and spicy flavors from the jalapenos was out of this world amazing and something you’ll absolutely have to try!
