Fruit Salsa
If you’re looking for something to bring to a party or picnic, look no further. This sweet, refreshing fruit salsa recipe is always a hit…
It’s light and healthy, and especially perfect for a summertime appetizer, side, or dessert.
You could also cut this larger recipe in half if you’re not serving it to a crowd.
A good, sharp knife is a must have in order to make this dish.
There’s no cooking involved, but it does involve a lot of cutting.
A very small dice is what you want. I turn on my favorite music as I dice and find it almost therapeutic and relaxing.
How to Make Fruit Salsa
Dice apples, strawberry, and kiwi very small.
Once you have it all diced, throw everything together into a large mixing bowl.

Take a moment to look at those gorgeous, bright colors 🙂

Fun Fact: adding sugar to fruit causes their juices to release, and this process is called macerating.
So, when you add the lime juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon this mixture will macerate in the fridge for about an hour.
After an hour you’ll notice more juices in the salsa making it even more flavorful than if you served it right away.
The lime juice adds just a hint of sour, which nicely breaks the sweetness a bit.
But it also prevents the apple from turning brown. You could also use lemon if you prefer.

I serve this fruit salsa with a few bags of Stacy’s Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips for dipping.
