Sausage Ricotta Honey Hot Pizza
We LOVE pizza making nights at home 🙂 This Sausage Ricotta Honey Hot Pizza was our newest pizza recipe creation!
It’s got the perfect flavor trifecta… spicy, sweet, and savory!
You can bake them in the oven, or on your Traeger pellet grill to add a subtle, smoky kiss.

How to make Sausage Ricotta Honey Hot Pizza
I cooked a whole pound of Italian sausage, but for 2 pizzas you’ll only need half of the pound.
We simply saved it for another pizza making night.
First brush some olive oil and pizza sauce on each of the 2 naan flatbreads.
Then add a cup of mozzarella cheese to each.
And pile on that cooked sausage and dollops of ricotta cheese.
Season with kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes as well.
Next stop is either the oven or your Traeger pellet grill.
For the oven, place the flatbread pizzas on a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
If you are using the pellet grill, the pizzas can go right on the grill grate at 375 degrees for the same cook time of 12 to 15 minutes.
Just remove once the cheese and nice and melty and the crust is crisped how you prefer.
For the hot honey I just mixed together some honey and my favorite hot sauce, I went with lots of hot sauce because I love my spice.

We drizzled the hot honey over top right before serving.

Sausage Ricotta Honey Hot Pizza
Sausage Ricotta Honey Hot Pizza is an easy at home pizza recipe using Naan flatbread as the crust, a sweet and spicy treat for the Traeger pellet grill or bake in the oven!
Ingredients
- 1 package Stonefire Naan Flatbreads (2 come in a pack)
- olive oil
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 pound cooked Italian sausage
- 3/4 to 1 cup ricotta cheese
- kosher salt, pepper, crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons honey
- a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce
- Optional: basil for garnish
Instructions

Put the flatbreads on a baking sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil and pizza sauce, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over top.

Add the sausage and place spoonfuls of the ricotta on the pizzas. Sprinkle with kosher salt, pepper. and crushed red pepper flakes. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
Note: Or set your Traeger or pellet grill to 375 degrees. Place the flatbreads on the grill grates for 12 to 15 minutes.

Mix the honey together with a few dashes of hot sauce. Drizzle over top before serving, sprinkle basil over top if desired.
