Slow Cooker Chorizo Dip
Slow Cooker Chorizo Dip is the perfect appetizer recipe for the Crock Pot with only 4 ingredients!!!
This slightly spicy, very easy, and full of flavor dip is perfect served with Fritos Scoops.
It will stay warm in the slow cooker/ Crock Pot for hours so just make it, serve it, and forget about it 🙂
How to make Slow Cooker Chorizo Dip
Just three ingredients to start, my friends… chorizo, salsa, and cream cheese.
Chorizo is one of those magical ingredients that already comes with so much spice and flavor.
First set a large skillet over medium heat.
And add two pounds of ground chorizo.
Cook the chorizo sausage for 8 to 10 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
Then place it on a large plate lined with paper towels to drain the excess grease.
Then put it in the slow cooker/ Crock Pot.
And add two blocks of cream cheese and a 15 ounce jar of salsa.
Set the slow cooker to low for 3 to 4 hours, stirring a few times.
During the last hour add some Tajin seasoning, it adds a little special somethin’ somethin’.
And, optional ingredients, garlic powder and hot sauce.
We like a little spice in our lives so I added a good amount of Tajin and our favorite hot sauce.
Stir until all mixed together 🙂
Serve Slow Cooker Chorizo Dip with Fritos Scoops for dipping!
I brought this to a Halloween party, but it would be perfect for any holiday, game day tailgate, or celebration.
