Easy Caramel Apple Cake
Easy Caramel Apple Cake jazzes up a store bought cake mix for one of the simplest fall dessert recipes ever!
I like my sweets, but have never been a huge baker.
Therefore, I only create easy desserts, and this one sure delivers on the “easy” part.
However, using some of my simple hacks no one would ever guess because it’s a pretty bakery worthy cake!
How to make Easy Caramel Apple Cake
Start with a box of yellow cake mix, but we are using different additions than what you’ll find on the package directions.

First put the cake mix in a bowl.
Then add four eggs (one more egg than the box says), a cup of milk (in place of the water), and a stick of butter at room temperature (instead of the vegetable oil).

Also a teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

Then use a hand mixer to blend the batter together for about a minute.

Next fold in two cans of apple pie filling.

And pour into a greased 9×13 dish.

Bake the cake in a 350 degree oven for 40 to 50 minutes, which is more time than the cake package calls for.

Let the cake cool for about 15 minutes then drizzle 10 to 12 ounces of caramel sauce over top.
It’s important to do this while the cake is still warm.

The caramel sauce will melt into the cake slightly.
Also sprinkle some Heath toffee chips over top.
They will also melt slightly thanks to the warm cake.

Serve Easy Caramel Apple Cake while it’s still slightly warm 🙂

Can you use another candy bar besides toffee?
Cheri
Yes I would think any candy bar would be great!
