Slow Cooker Cheesy Ranch Chicken Pasta
A comfort food Crock Pot recipe with lots of flavor and little effort is the perfect description of Slow Cooker Cheesy Ranch Chicken Pasta!
A spurge meal with cheesy goodness is perfectly fine once in awhile (we will have salads tomorrow 😉 ).
The kids went crazy over this dinner, which is always a bonus.
Some Crock Pot meals are dump and go with no extra work.
This one does require you to boil some pasta and stir it in with some cheese before serving.
But that’s not TOO much extra work, right?!
How to make Slow Cooker Cheesy Ranch Chicken Pasta
Everything you need is shown below 🙂
First put 1 1/2 pounds of chicken into the slow cooker.
Season with kosher salt and pepper.
Then add a diced onion and minced garlic.
Next add a 14 ounce can of chicken broth and a packet of dry ranch seasoning.
Finally in goes a 16 ounce jar of alfredo sauce.
Set the slow cooker/ Crock Pot to low for 6 to 8 hours.
And after 6 to 8 hours of cooking low and slow, use two forks to shred the chicken right in the slow cooker.
Boil a pound of pasta according to the package directions, any type of pasta is great!
I went with penne because it’s my son’s favorite.
Drain the pasta very well and put it in the Crock Pot.
Also add 3 to 4 cups of shredded cheese of choice, more or less depending on how cheesy you want it.
I used Mexican blend cheese, and I did save some to sprinkle over the top.
Give this a stir, add the remaining cheese, and leave in the slow cooker another 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
Garnish Slow Cooker Cheesy Ranch Chicken Pasta with some parsley for a pop of freshness and color if desired 🙂
