An easy, flavorful, and healthy dinner recipe… if that’s what you’re looking for then I’ve got a great one with Air Fryer BBQ Trout!
It’s the start of spring around here and that always makes me want to eat a little lighter and healthier.
And with the warmer weather approaching I’ve been in the mood for some barbecue.
So I decided to put the two together into this dinner, which by the way, my whole family absolutely loved!
How to make Air Fryer BBQ Trout
First mix together the marinade and seasoning for the trout.
It’s a tablespoon each of olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic paste or minced garlic, and lime juice.
Then add in some barbecue seasoning, kosher salt, and pepper and whisk it together.
Brush that mixture over 4 trout fillets in the air fryer basket.
I had skinless steelhead trout that I got from the seafood section of my grocery store.
You may want to brush this over the fillets a few times to get a nice thick layer of flavor.
And another sprinkle of barbecue seasoning, kosher salt, and pepper.
Then set the air fryer to 380 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes.
You can serve Air Fryer BBQ Trout with any side dishes you prefer for a complete and healthy dinner!
I set out some barbecue sauce as an option for dipping, but honestly they were so yummy just like this.
Usually we have salmon, but everyone here agreed that trout should be included in our dinners a lot more often.
