Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Cod
Hey friends… guess what?! HEALTHY “fried” seafood is now possible thanks to this Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Cod recipe!
I absolutely love going to fish fries around lent, but the older I get the more I just find that fried food does not like me.
I’m not about to give up my crispity crunchity fish dinners, so I turned to my good friend the Air Fryer.
You can certainly use tilapia or really any other white fish, I just went with cod because it was on sale.
How to make Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Cod
First pat the cod fillets very dry with paper towels and season on both sides with Old Bay.
Old Bay has plenty of salt so there’s no need to add any extra kosher salt or pepper.

Next zest about of tablespoon of lemon zest.
If you don’t have a zester you could certainly skip this step, but the lemon zest does add something extra amazing to the fish.

Next crack an egg in one bowl and beat it with a fork.
Then combine panko bread crumbs, lemon pepper seasoning, more old bay seasoning, and the lemon zest in a separate bowl.
Set these two bowls next to the air fryer for your breading station.

Dip each fish fillet into the egg and then into the panko mixture, pressing it into the fish.
Then place in the air fryer basket and give a little spray of olive oil over top.
Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for about 10 to 12 minutes.

Serve Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Cod with some lemon wedges on the side and maybe even some tartar sauce or remoulade sauce for dipping!
You can also set out some buns and have fish sandwiches for that Friday night fish fry vibe at home.
