Bang Bang Ramen Noodles
Bang Bang Ramen Noodles are stir fried with a sweet and spicy sauce for an incredibly yummy side dish or dinner recipe!
It could be a vegetarian side with any meal or add some chicken or shrimp for a complete meal.
The BEST part is the bits of crispy noodles that are created from stir frying rather than serving the noodles in broth.
How to make Bang Bang Ramen Noodles
First boil 4 packs of ramen noodles according to the package instructions.
It really does not matter what flavor because we will throw away the flavor packet.
Make sure to drain and rinse the noodles well with cold water.
While my noodles were boiling away, I made the homemade bang bang sauce.
Simply combine 3/4 cup each of mayo and sweet Thai chili sauce.
Then add a few tablespoons of sriracha.
Whisk until combined.
Then set a large skillet or wok over medium high heat.
Add some vegetable or olive oil and a diced onion.
Cook the onion a minute or so, then add some fresh minced garlic.
Add the noodles as well along with kosher salt and pepper.
Cook the noodles for a few minutes, then add half of the bang bang sauce.
And stir fry the noodles another few minutes.
Add some green onions and lemon juice to Bang Bang Ramen Noodles to bring a bright pop of color and flavor!
Toss the noodles with the other half of the bang bang sauce right before serving.
A yummy side dish, vegetarian meal, or add protein of choice for a complete, filling meal.
