Traeger Honey Cornbread
Ohhhh, ya know… there’s this one time my grandson and I made a Traeger Honey Cornbread recipe on the floor because he wanted to help 🙂
I promise it was clean and he absolutely insisted, and looking at all his cuteness you can see why I caved
He loves cooking with GiGi!
So if a two year old can make this one handed (notice he held on to his juice), really anyone can manage to pull this off.
We did cook this on the Traeger pellet grill, but you can easily make this in the oven at the same time and temp as the Traeger.
How to Make Traeger Honey Cornbread
This little cutie and I started with our dry ingredients first.
A cup each of cornmeal and flour.

Then sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt and give it a whisk.
All I did was measure, and Mr. Big Stuff here did all the rest 🙂

Next come the wet ingredients… buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, cream style corn, and honey.

.

Once everything is in the bowl, just mix well with a spoon.

Spread some melted butter in a 10 inch cast iron skillet or 9×13 foil pan.
Then pour the batter right in.

Preheat the Traeger (or your oven) to 400 degrees.
Place the pan on the grill grate (or in the oven) for 28 to 32 minutes.
Just keep checking toward the end of the cook time.

Traeger Honey Cornbread is looking mighty tasty and my grandson was darn proud of himself 🙂
If you want even more sweetness, drizzle some honey over top if desired.
We love sweet and spicy, so a little honey drizzle and hot sauce was perfect for us.
