Shrimp Tacos with Mango Slaw

Shrimp Tacos with Mango Slaw

Shrimp Tacos with Mango Slaw are my latest taco recipe creation and they were fabulous!

I feel like taco ideas are endless đŸ™‚

Which is maybe why when I tell my family it’s taco night they always ask what they are in for.

Most times I get all “Mmmmmmm” reactions, thank goodness.

And that was the case with these tacos because we all love shrimp and mangos.

How to Make Shrimp Tacos with Mango Slaw

First pat a pound of shrimp dry with paper towels so the seasoning sticks.

And place them in a bowl with a tablespoon of olive oil, a tablespoon or two of your seasoning of choice, kosher salt and pepper.

I wrote this recipe without a specific seasoning to leave room for you to go with whatever flavor profile you wanted.

For our tacos I went the spicy route and used dry sriracha seasoning, spicy shrimp with sweet mango slaw just kind of spoke to me.

Not everyone loves spice so you could use Old Bay or any all purpose seasoning you may have.

Toss the shrimp until evenly coated and air fry or bake them.

I made mine in the air fryer set to 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.

Or place them on a baking sheet in a 400 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

While the shrimp are cooking, make the sauce for the slaw and to drizzle over the tacos.

I am notorious for making sauces by combining premade sauces.

I never claim to be a chef or a “from scratch” cook…

More of a “I’ll take all the help from premade ingredients to save my sanity” type of cook đŸ˜‰

So I am combining my good friends yum yum sauce, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha for a unique and very easy creation.

sauce ingredients

For the slaw I am using 2 cups from an Asian salad kit, or you could use a bag of slaw.

Add in some diced mango and toss a few spoonfuls of the sauce we made earlier.

Once the shrimp are cooked you can start warming flour tortillas.

Place a little mango slaw in each tortilla first.

Then add the shrimp, more sauce, cilantro, and serve with a lime to squeeze over top if desired.

These gorgeous Shrimp Tacos with Mango Slaw look simple but will wow you with amazing flavor!
