Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket

Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket

Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket is a rare occurrence where I am leaving my silly, creative changes out of it.

I don’t often make any food in a normal or regular way, usually adding my own twist or spin to the recipe.

But these are a classic.

Every food is better when served in mini form, so by cutting the hot dogs and crescent rolls in half, we are making this dish more fun, right?!

So you might be asking why the air fryer? I have answers, friends…

A. You do not have to wait for the oven to preheat

B. They are done in 5 to 7 minutes vs 15 minutes

C. Ummmm…I have an air fryer so might as well use it 😉

D. If you are making multiple snacks and appetizers, using the air fryer frees up your oven for making more yumminess!

How to Make Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket

Like I said earlier, snacks and appetizers are more fun when they are small and bite size.

So first, unroll the crescent dough and cut each triangle in half.

Then cut the hot dogs in half.

This is an 8 pack of hot dogs and 8 pack of crescent rolls, so the math works out perfectly to make 16 little bites.

Roll the hot dog halves in the crescent roll halves.

Then spray the air fryer with nonstick spray and place them in a single layer.

I have a 5.8 quart air fryer and they all fit perfectly 🙂

Pigs in a Blanket before cooking

Set the air fryer to 370 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes.

And they come out gorgeous golden brown and the hot dog edges get just a little crispy char to them.

These were our super simple dinner, and when my son asked what was for dinner and I said “Pigs in a Blanket” he was like “No flipping way, you’re kidding me!”

I mean, usually it’s some off the wall creation for dinner around here, and a little simplicity is just what he needed.

One happy boy for sure 🙂

They would also be a great holiday appetizer or game day snack of course.
