Smoked Salmon Paninis
My daughter came up with the easy recipe idea for these Smoked Salmon Paninis.
Gotta love simple seafood recipes, especially sandwiches 🙂
You could use store bought smoked salmon or Traeger Smoked Salmon!
My girl LOVES her paninis, always has! Her original idea was to make these as a grilled cheese.
But understanding her obsession with the panini press, we went with that.
Super simple with only a few ingredients brings even more appeal to this sandwich.
Quality bread is key here, as with any sandwich really. I am using bakery fresh sourdough bread.
How to Make Smoked Salmon Paninis
Start with spreading cream cheese on both slices of bread.
Then add some smoked salmon to one slice and some fresh dill on the other slice.
While assembling these I had my panini press heating to medium high.
Once it’s nice and hot add the sandwich.
This bread was pretty big, so only one sandwich could fit at once.
Depending on your bread size, you may be able to fit two.
Press down and let this cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
Once the bread is at your perfect level of toastiness, remove from the panini press.
Cut the Smoked Salmon Paninis in half and dig in 🙂
The cream cheese is warm and melty, perfect with the salty smoked salmon.

Smoked Salmon Paninis
Smoked Salmon Paninis are simple and easy to make, smoked salmon on good quality bread with cream cheese and fresh dill for the perfect meal
Ingredients
- 4 slices bread of choice (I used bakery fresh sourdough sliced bread)
- 3 to 4 oz cream cheese
- 3 to 4 oz smoked salmon
- fresh dill
Instructions
-
Spread the cream cheese on two slices of bread, add the salmon to one slice of bread with cream cheese and the dill to the other slice with cream cheese. Put them together to make a sandwich and repeat with making the other sandwich.
-
Heat a panini press to medium high heat. Add the sandwiches and press down. Let cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the bread is toasted the way you prefer.
Note: My bread was rather large so I was only able to fit one sandwich at a time, so I cooked them in two batches.
-
Cut the paninis in half and serve right away.
