The credit for these Sweet Thai Chili Burgers goes to my husband, once again he came up with a genius burger idea 🙂
And let me just tell ya, these are monster half pound burgers so make sure you’re good and hungry when making them!
I even called them “Go Big or Go Home Burgers” because of their size, bold flavors, and amount of cheese.
How to Make Sweet Thai Chili Burgers
These burgers start with TWO pounds of ground beef…yes TWO, see told ya they are enormous.
Plus sweet Thai chili sauce (duh 😉 ), soy sauce, garlic, grated carrot, and chopped green onions.
Just add everything into a large bowl.
Then fold it all together using your hands.
And form them into 4 burger patties.
Place them on a tray and head out to the grill.
Preheat your grill to medium high heat.
And once it’s nice and hot place the burgers on the grill grates.
Since these are bigger than your average burger, they will take 5 to 6 minutes per side to cook.
Using an instant read thermometer will make sure you get them cooked to your liking.
I was shooting for an internal temp of 160 for a medium doneness.
Also toasting the buns for a minute on the grill is a nice touch.
During the last minute add two slices of swiss cheese.
As I went back and forth between one slice or two, my family was like “Ummmm…you can never go wrong with more cheese”.
Alrighty then…two slices for the win!
I washed the tray I used to carry the burgers out.
So I used the same tray to bring everyone back inside to assemble and devour these monster burgers.
Toppings for these burgers were set out and my family topped to their own desires.
Spicy mayo, sriracha, slaw, and more sweet chili sauce were the choices.
You’ll need the two handed hunch to bite into Sweet Thai Chili Burgers!
Even though they were absolutely one of the tastiest burgers ever, I could only finish half.
But hey. that just means I get a yummy lunch to look forward to the next day 😉
