Chorizo Taco Dip
ALL the credit goes to this guy right here for this unique and easy appetizer recipe for Chorizo Taco Dip.
My boy LOVES football!
Loves watching it and playing it so much! So for Super Bowl I asked him what game day snacks he would like.
He said wings, of course, but then said he wanted taco dip only made with chorizo instead of taco meat.
Chorizo is one of my favorite ingredients.
It’s already perfectly seasoned so all you have to do is cook it in a skillet.
How to make Chorizo Taco Dip
Set your skillet over medium high heat for just about 6 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.
The first layer of the dip is sour cream.
Add a Tbsp chili powder and half Tbsp paprika to the sour cream container.
And stir it right in the container.
This extra step of seasoning the sour cream makes this dip even better!
Then spread it evenly in a 9×13 dish.
I went with one of my casserole dishes, but a foil pan would make for way easier clean up.
The next layer is the chorizo!
Good luck with not being tempted to snack on the chorizo as you add it đŸ˜‰
I did let it cool before adding it so it wasn’t so hot.
Next up is lettuce and cheese.
This is two cups chopped iceberg lettuce and two cups shredded cheese.
I used the Mexican blend cheese.
Finally some tomato and green onions to finish your Chorizo Taco Dip.
This could be covered and refrigerated until game time or served right away.
YUM!
We used both tortilla chips and, my personal favorite, Fritos Scoops.
