Slow Cooker Taco Soup
This Slow Cooker Taco Soup recipe is one of the first things I make each fall!
I’m kind of weird about crock pot/ slow cooker meals because I only make them when it’s chilly outside and most of time with my pajamas on inside.

How to Make Slow Cooker Taco Soup
Cook a pound of ground beef in a skillet (or chicken or turkey for a lighter version) with a packet of taco seasoning.

Add it to the crock pot along with a diced onion, black beans, pinto beans, canned corn, tomatoes, green chiles, and garlic.
Pour 4 cups of chicken broth over top and stir in another packet of taco seasoning and a packet of dry ranch seasoning.

Stir it all together and that’s it.

Turn it on low for 6 to 8 hours and the soup is ready and waiting for you after a long day at work.

When you walk into the house it smells unbelievable!
Before serving taste for seasoning, add kosher salt and pepper if needed.
I like a thicker soup, so I use my immersion blender and pulse it a few times.

Garnishing it is “souper” fun! (Get it?! “souper” 😉
I like sour cream, cheese, cilantro, and tortilla strips with mine.
Hot sauce is also good with Slow Cooker Taco Soup for those who like it spicy.
