My husband LOVES crispy cheese, so I thought he’d be very excited about these Blackstone Crispy Cheeseburger Sliders.
You know that crispy cheese that usually ends up on the baking sheet, pan, or griddle after cooking anything with cheese, right?!
Well he is always picking it up and eating that crispy cheesy goodness and always says something like “Ohhh, I love crispy cheese”.
So that was my inspiration for these sliders, I might love that man a little 😉
How to Make Blackstone Crispy Cheeseburger Sliders
I am doing mini smashed burgers for these.
So start by cutting a pound of ground beef into 12 pieces.
Then roll each in a ball.
I like putting everything I need on a tray to carry it all outside at once 🙂

Preheat your Blackstone or griddle to medium high heat for several minutes.
Once it’s hot add some vegetable oil and the ground beef.
Smash them with a burger press or a hibachi spatula a few times so they are nice and thin.
And season with kosher salt and pepper.

Flip them after 2 or 3 minutes.
Just look at that gorgeous brown crust!

Top them with shredded cheese right after flipping them.
And then turn the Blackstone off right away so the cheese doesn’t burn.
Use a melting dome if you have one.

While I waited for the cheese to melt, I toasted the slider buns on the griddle cut side down.

Once the cheese is melted, remove them and place on a tray or baking sheet.
Some might stick together with the crispy cheese.
I just placed them on the tray still connected and used my kitchen scissors to cut them apart.

Serve the burgers on the slider buns with the crispy cheesy goodness.
I have to say, the crunch really added something extra special to regular sliders 🙂

I kept the toppings simple with this burger sauce and some lettuce.

Serve Blackstone Crispy Cheeseburger Sliders with toppings of choice 🙂
For such a simple meal, these really were over the top amazing and devoured in record time by my family!

Blackstone Crispy Cheeseburger Sliders
Blackstone Crispy Cheeseburger Sliders are tiny smashed burgers topped with shredded cheese that gets crispy for a unique and delicious slider
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- vegetable oil
- kosher salt, pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheese of choice (I used Mexican blend)
- 12 slider buns
- Optional toppings of choice: burger sauce, ketchup, lettuce, pickles
Instructions
-
Cut a pound of ground beef into 12 pieces and roll each in a ball.
-
Preheat the griddle to medium high heat for several minutes. Once hot spread some vegetable oil and place the burgers on the griddle. Press very flat a few times with a burger press or hibachi spatula.
-
Season with kosher salt and pepper and flip them after 2 to 3 minutes. Sprinkle the cheese over top, some will get on the griddle to create the crispy cheese.
Note: I put the slider buns on the griddle cut side down for a minute to warm and toast them slightly.
-
Turn the griddle of right after sprinkling the cheese so the cheese on the griddle doesn't burn. Use a melting dome if you have one. Remove the burgers once the cheese has melted.
Note: The crispy cheese may stick the burgers together so I found it best to remove all of them and place on a baking sheet and cut them apart using kitchen scissors.
-
Serve the burgers with the crispy cheese on slider buns with toppings of choice such as burger sauce, ketchup, lettuce, and pickles.
