Air Fryer Cornflake Chicken
Air Fryer Cornflake Chicken recipe has an amazingly crunchy breading!
Usually I bread with panko, and have even played around with pretzel and Cheetos breading.
But none have come even close to the crisp-ity crunch-ity texture of the cornflakes!
I had some cornflakes leftover from making Crunchy Cornflake Chicken Sandwiches, which I deep fried.
And I was curious to see how they would do in the air fryer… SOOOO good!
How to Make Air Fryer Cornflake Chicken Recipe
Put three cups cornflake cereal in a blender or food processor and pulse until they are a breadcrumb like consistency.
Or put them in a gallon size plastic bag and use a rolling pin or cup to crush them.
Then pour them in a bowl and mix in some kosher salt and pepper.
Next crack an egg in a separate bowl and beat it with a fork.
Cut about a pound of chicken breasts into either strips or nuggets.
Then set up a little breading station right next to the air fryer basket.
Dip each piece of chicken into the egg first and then into the cornflakes.
Press the cornflakes into the chicken to make sure they stick.
Place the chicken right into the air fryer basket.
Spray some non stick cooking spray over top as well.
Then set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 14 to 15 minutes.
No need to turn or flip them at all 🙂
Air Fryer Cornflake Chicken comes out gorgeous golden brown and delicious!
Set out some dipping sauces such as BBQ, ranch, buffalo, or our favorite was yum yum sauce 🙂
Gotta love a simple, tasty, kid friendly meal, right?!
