I may or may not be slightly addicted to my air fryer, friends…and Air Fryer Lemon Garlic Shrimp is just one of the delicious reasons why.

Benefits to me of cooking in the air fryer is just how quick and easy it is.

No need to preheat an oven, it frees up the oven in case you needed it for something else at dinner, and so easy to clean!

The food for me comes out perfect every time, and it’s especially helpful when making something crispy!

Ok, sorry…I’m not tryin to make a sales pitch for an air fryer… back to this super simple recipe.

How to Make Air Fryer Lemon Garlic Shrimp

To begin, all you need is a pound of jumbo shrimp that have been peeled and deveined.

I also like to pat them dry so the yummy seasoning sticks.

You’ll need either olive oil or butter, some lemon juice, garlic paste, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.

Melt the butter if using and add the butter or olive oil to the shrimp.

Then a Tablespoon each lemon juice, garlic paste, and Italian seasoning.

Add kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes to taste.

Toss it together and head to the air fryer.

Since I used butter, it solidified on the cold shrimp, but no worries it will melt into the shrimp in the air fryer.

Place the shrimp in the air fryer in a single layer.

And a little more Italian seasoning over top.

Then set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 8 to 9 minutes.

Air Fryer Lemon Garlic Shrimp

Ahhhh, the crisp edges of the Air Fryer Lemon Garlic Shrimp were the best!

Serve this with more lemon wedges on the side to squeeze over top if you want things more lemon-y.

This would be amazing served over pasta or rice, or over a salad once they have cooled a bit.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 1/2 Tbsps melted butter or olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp garlic paste or minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning (plus more to sprinkle over top)
  • kosher salt, pepper, crushed red pepper flakes
  • Optional: extra lemon wedges to squeeze over top

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and put them in a large bowl. Add the melted butter or olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Toss until evenly combined.

  2. Place the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Sprinkle more Italian seasoning over top.

  3. Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 8 to 9 minutes.

  4. Serve with lemon wedges on the side to squeeze over top if desired.
