How to make Cilantro Jalapeno Cottage Cheese Dressing

Start with 3/4 cup cottage cheese in a food processor and add in 1/3 cup buttermilk.

Remove some or all of the seeds from a small jalapeno and add that in as well.

Plus fresh cilantro, lime juice, kosher salt, and pepper.

And blend until smooth, which does take about a minute.

Taste for seasoning and add more lime, kosher salt, and/or pepper if needed.

And if you think it’s too spicy, add a little honey or a pinch of sugar to balance out the heat.

Cilantro Jalapeno Cottage Cheese Dressing

Transfer the dressing to a jar or container with a lid.

And store in the fridge for a few days until ready to use, or enjoy right away.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1 small jalapeno remove some or all of seeds based on spice preference
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • kosher salt, pepper

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth, which does take about a minute.

    Note: If too spicy add a little honey or pinch of sugar and/or more lime juice to balance out the heat. If too thick for your preference add more buttermilk.

  2. Serve on any salad or use as a veggie dip. Store leftovers in a covered container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
