Air Fryer Jalapeno Fries
Air fryer jalapeno fries get super crisp and they are a great snack or appetizer recipe.
They have an easy breading and the air fryer does the rest of the work.
I also made a yummy dipping sauce by combining Mayo and sriracha.
You could also use ranch dressing in place of the Mayo if you prefer.
How to make air fryer jalapeno fries
First, remove the seeds and white ribs from two to three jalapenos.
You can slice them however you prefer, we went with ours on the thinner side.
If you like things extra spicy feel free to leave a few of the seeds.
Next, crack an egg in one bowl and beat it with a fork.
Then add 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs, kosher salt, and pepper in a separate bowl to create a breading station.
Dip the jalapenos into the egg first and then coat in the panko bread crumbs.
I breaded a few at a time to make this process go faster, if it takes too long the egg will create a soggy panko bread crumb.
Once they are all in the air fryer, spray with olive oil cooking spray.
Set your air fryer to 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.
I kept checking mine at the end and removed them when they were perfectly golden brown.
Serve these gorgeous air fryer jalapeno fries with the spicy mayo dipping sauce!
Some of the fries had little to no heat, but every once in a while we would get a seed for an extra spicy bite.
Even my 11 year old son was brave enough to try these and practically devoured the whole plate.

Air Fryer Jalapeno Fries
Air Fryer Jalapeno Fries are breaded, cooked to crispy perfection, and served with a spicy dipping sauce for a great side dish or snack
Ingredients
- 2 to 3 jalapeno peppers
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
- kosher salt, pepper
- olive oil cooking spray
- 1/3 cup mayo or ranch dressing
- 1 to 2 Tbsps Sriracha (more or less according to spice preference)
Instructions
-
Remove the seeds and white ribs from the jalapeno peppers. And cut them into strips.
Note: You can leave some of the seeds if you prefer them to be a little spicier.
-
Crack the egg in one bowl and beat it with a fork. Then put the panko in a separate bowl and season with kosher salt and pepper.
-
Dip each jalapeno strip into the egg mixture and then coat well with the panko bread crumbs. And place them into the air fryer basket.
Note: This works best if done quickly because the egg can create soggy panko bread crumbs.
-
Spray them with the olive oil cooking spray and set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.
-
While the jalapeno fries are cooking make the dipping sauce by combining either mayo or ranch dressing with the sriracha.
-
Let them cool slightly and served with a spicy dipping sauce.
