Whipped Feta and Herb Dip
This Whipped Feta and Herb Dip recipe is a bright and unique addition to a charcuterie board or serve with crostini for the perfect appetizer.
You’ll need a food processor to make this dip.
That’s what gives it an airy, light, whipped texture.
How to Make Whipped Feta and Herb Dip
Begin by putting 8 oz. feta cheese into the food processor.
My store only sells 4 oz. containers, so I just bought 2 containers.
Then add in 1/2 cup olive oil and 1/4 cup water.
Turn the food processor on for around 2 minutes.
You may need to scrape the sides with a rubber spatula.
Next, pick herbs of choice to add to the dip.
I am growing basil, thyme, rosemary, and chives in my garden so that’s what I am using.
Chop them up to get around 2 to 3 Tbsps of chopped, fresh herbs.
Add them to the whipped feta along with kosher salt and pepper.
Feta is already a salty cheese, so I went easy on the salt, but heavy on the pepper.
A few more seconds pulsing in the food processor and once combined, it’s ready to serve.
Serve this dip with anything you prefer…crackers, toasted pita, or even fresh veggies.
I went with toasted crostini.
Slice a loaf of french bread, brush the tops with olive oil, kosher salt, and pepper.
Then 5 minutes in a 400 degree oven and they are ready 🙂
A little olive oil and more herbs over top to make this Whipped Feta and Herb Dip pop
Other additions if you are enjoying this as part of a charcuterie board, add toppings such as honey, fresh sliced peaches or cherries, a fig or blueberry jam, and/or balsamic glaze.
Of course, it’s amazing just like this too 🙂
