As simple as these BBQ Ranch Chicken Wings may seem, they have incredible flavor!
Usually I make split chicken wings, but recently they have been so small that I decided to go with the whole, non split wing and these did not disappoint.
Everyone in my house actually agreed we should have the whole wings more often… more flavor and very moist and juicy.
A great weeknight meal, but also weekend worthy because, well… they’re chicken wings 😉
How to Make BBQ Ranch Chicken Wings
First, put 3 pounds whole chicken wings in a large bowl and add olive oil and your favorite BBQ seasoning.
Then dry ranch seasoning, kosher salt, and pepper.
Toss the wings until evenly coated. Honestly the best tool for tossing is your hands.
Once evenly coated, place them on a baking sheet.
And a little more BBQ seasoning and kosher salt over top.
Place the chicken in a 425 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
While the chicken is doing it’s thing in the oven, make a dipping sauce.
I just combined equal parts BBQ sauce and Ranch dressing.
The sauce is not absolutely needed, as the wings bring a great flavor punch on their own. But if you want a sauce, this one is simple and delicious.
Check the temp of the wings after 30 minutes with an instant read thermometer.
Depending on the wing size they may be ready or they may need a little longer to reach over 165 degrees.
