Ingredients
Teriyaki Steak Bowls
  • 1 1/2 pounds flat iron steak
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (could also use vegetable oil)
  • 4 cups cooked rice (or 2 14 oz. bags cauliflower rice)
  • 1 cup diced mango
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves
  • 4 lime wedges
Yum Yum Sauce
  • 3/4 cup mayo or light mayo
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Teriyaki Steak Bowls
  1. Cut the flat iron steak into half inch cubes. Put the steak bites in a bowl with the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic paste and ginger paste. Toss until evenly coated. Place in the fridge to marinate several hours or overnight.

  2. In a skillet or on your griddle over medium high heat add the cooking oil and steak bites. Cook 4-6 minutes, stirring and flipping the steak bites to sear all sides.

  3. Divide the cooked rice (or cauliflower rice) into 4 bowls. Top each bowl with the steak bites, diced mango, avocado, cilantro leaves, and a lime wedge.

  4. Serve with Yum Yum Sauce drizzled over top (store bought or recipe below).
