Ingredients
  • 3 packages Ramen noodles
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (or cooking oil of choice)
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs (optional)
  • 1 onion diced
  • kosher salt, pepper
  • 6 to 7 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup Bachan's Japanese BBQ sauce (or you can use hoisin sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • Optional: sesame seeds, more Japanese BBQ sauce, yum yum sauce
Instructions
  1. Boil the noodles according to package directions (do not use flavor packet), drain and rinse very well with cold water so they don't overcook.

  2. Set a large skillet or wok over medium high heat. Once hot add the olive oil along with the chicken (if using), onion, kosher salt, and pepper. Cook 3 to 4 minutes.

  3. Add the garlic and the cooked noodles, Japanese BBQ sauce (or hoisin sauce), soy sauce, sriracha, and butter.

  4. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring and pressing the noodles so they become slightly crisp. Add the green onions and cook another 1 to 2 minutes.

  5. Serve with sesame seeds and add more Japanese BBQ sauce and/or yum yum sauce if desired.
