
Pesto Sun Dried Tomato Pasta Sauce is such an easy recipe, you can add Italian sausage or leave it meatless for a vegetarian dish!
Set a large pot or saucepan over medium heat. Add olive oil and ground sausage, if using. Cook 5 to 6 minutes, breaking apart with spatulas and then add the garlic. Cook 2 minutes, mixing together.
Pour in the marinara sauce, pesto, kosher salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Let this simmer for 10 minutes, stirring a few times and lower the heat to medium low if it's bubbling too much.
Add parmesan cheese and sun dried tomatoes, stir and cook 1 to 2 more minutes.
Serve over cooked pasta of choice.
