Ingredients
  • 2 pounds jumbo shrimp (I bought easy peel shrimp and left shells on)
  • olive oil, kosher salt, pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vodka (optional)
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic finely minced or grated
  • hot sauce (to taste)
  • Optional additions: pickles, lemon wedges, celery, olives, sliced meat and cheese, candied bacon (link to recipe in post above)
Instructions
  1. Put the shrimp on a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over top, season with kosher salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of the Old Bay seasoning. Toss until evenly coated.

  2. Put the shrimp in a 425 degree oven for 5 to 7 minutes. Let cool, then refrigerate until ready to serve.

  3. Put the ketchup, lemon juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, vodka (if using), garlic, hot sauce, kosher salt, pepper, and remaining 1/2 tablespoon Old Bay in a bowl. Stir until combined, taste for seasoning and add more lemon, horseradish, hot sauce, kosher salt, pepper, and/or Old Bay if needed.

  4. Serve the shrimp with the cocktail sauce on a board with optional additions such as pickles, lemon wedges, celery, olives, sliced meat and cheese (I put mine on toothpicks), and/or candied bacon.
