Air Fryer Steak and Potatoes is a complete meal from start to finish, an easy recipe for perfectly cooked steak and crisp buttery potatoes!
Drizzle olive oil on both sides of the steak and season with kosher salt, pepper, and steak seasoning blend of choice.
Put the softened butter in a small bowl along with the garlic, fresh herb of choice if using, kosher salt, pepper, and steak seasoning blend of choice. Stir until evenly combined.
Save one tablespoon of the garlic herb butter and toss the rest of the butter with the cut potatoes until evenly combined. Season the potatoes with more kosher salt and pepper.
Place the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook them at 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
Move the potatoes in the air fryer to make room for the steak, place the steak in the air fryer basket next to the potatoes and cook at 400 degrees for 6 to 9 minutes depending on how you would like your steak cooked.
Note: I used an instant read thermometer and stopped cooking my steak around the 7 minute mark once it was at 135 degrees for medium rare.
Let the steak and potatoes rest for a few minutes. Put the reserved tablespoon of garlic herb butter over the steak to slowly melt over top as it rests.
