Ingredients
  • 2 to 3 jalapeno peppers
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
  • kosher salt, pepper
  • olive oil cooking spray
  • 1/3 cup mayo or ranch dressing
  • 1 to 2 Tbsps Sriracha (more or less according to spice preference)
Instructions
  1. Remove the seeds and white ribs from the jalapeno peppers. And cut them into strips.

Note: You can leave some of the seeds if you prefer them to be a little spicier.

  2. Crack the egg in one bowl and beat it with a fork. Then put the panko in a separate bowl and season with kosher salt and pepper.

  3. Dip each jalapeno strip into the egg mixture and then coat well with the panko bread crumbs. And place them into the air fryer basket.

Note: This works best if done quickly because the egg can create soggy panko bread crumbs.

  4. Spray them with the olive oil cooking spray and set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.

  5. While the jalapeno fries are cooking make the dipping sauce by combining either mayo or ranch dressing with the sriracha.

  6. Let them cool slightly and served with a spicy dipping sauce.
