Smoked Cherry Bourbon Ham has a sweet glaze made with cherries and bourbon, ham smoked for extra flavor paired with this glaze is amazing!
Set your smoker to 250 and put the ham directly on the grate for 1 hour.
Put the cherries (with juice), brown sugar, bourbon, honey, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ginger, garlic, and cinnamon in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to medium low and simmer 12 to 15 minutes, stirring a few times.
Note: Watch carefully as it comes to a boil, if it starts to bubble over just remove from the heat for a moment.
Mash the cherries (I used a potato masher).
Carefully transfer the ham to a casserole dish or foil pan. Pour some or all the glaze over the ham (depending on if you want to save some to serve drizzled over top).
Place it back on the smoker for 1 to 1 1/2 more hours or until internal temperature is 140 degrees.
Note: If glaze seems to be sticking to bottom of pan, add a small amount of water.
