Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole
This easy recipe for Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole was sinfully delicious and was devoured by my family in record time.
My goal was to create a creamy, cheesy, full of melty yumminess casserole and I have to say I succeeded!
Those who follow me, know I love to keep Simple Shredded Chicken for Meal Prep on hand to have ready for recipes just like this one.
So the chicken was already cooked and shredded and ready to go.
Some are not fans of cream soups in recipes, I am more of an “I’ll take every bit of help from the store” type of mom.
Plus I think they taste really good đŸ™‚
How to make Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole
To the chicken in a bowl I added cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and dijon mustard.
A little kosher salt and pepper as well.
Also swiss cheese and a half pound of ham.
Cut the ham and cheese and add it to the bowl with the chicken and saucy goodness.
Mix it all together and put it in a greased 9×13 casserole dish.
Next up comes the butter cracker topping.
I put 45 Ritz crackers in a gallon size plastic bag.
Then crushed them with a rolling pin.
Then add 2 Tablespoons of melted butter to the bag, give a little shake, and spread it evenly over the casserole.
This will bake in a 400 degree oven for only 20 to 25 minutes.
Since everything is already cooked, it just needs to reach melty goodness level and a nice golden brown on the cracker topping.
And THIS, my friends, is what you get to have for dinner!
Let me tell ya, it’s even better than it looks!
Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole will hopefully become one of your new family favorites as well đŸ™‚
