Smoked Fireball Whiskey Apples

Butter, sugar, and Fireball fill these apples and then smoked to perfection

Ingredients
  • 4 large honeycrisp apples
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 tablespoons Fireball Whiskey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Using a melon baller, scoop out the core of each apple (picture example in post above). Be careful not to poke through the bottom of the apples,

  2. In each cored apple put 1/2 Tbsp butter, 1 1/2 tablespoons Fireball Whiskey, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar.

  3. Place the apples in a smoker set to 250 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

  4. To serve, cut each apple into slices on a plate or bowl. The liquid will run out, once the apples are sliced pour the liquid over the apple slices.

    Suggested to serve as a dessert with ice cream or as a side dish with pork.
