Fried Old Bay Shrimp is an easy recipe with shrimp seasoned to perfection, breaded, then fried served with an old Bay aioli for dipping
Pat the shrimp dry and set aside. Combine the panko bread crumbs, cornstarch, and old Bay seasoning in one bowl. Crack the egg in a separate bowl and beat with a fork.
Fill a small saucepan about one to two inches deep with vegetable oil. Set over medium heat for about four to five minutes. Use a thermometer to check and see when the oil reaches 350 degrees.
Once the oil reaches 350 degrees dip a few shrimp in the egg and then coat well with the panko bread crumbs . Gently place four to five shrimp at a time into the oil for one to two minutes.
Once golden brown, remove them and place on paper towels. Repeat with the remaining shrimp.
Serve the shrimp with lemon wedges on the side and the old Bay aioli for dipping.
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and serve with the shrimp.
