Ingredients
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Everything Bagel seasoning (store bought or homemade)
  • kosher salt, pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tablespoon water
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese at room temp
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives or green onions
Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into strips.

  2. Combine the bread crumbs and Everything Bagel seasoning in a bowl with kosher salt and pepper, stir until evenly mixed.

  3. Beat the egg and water in a separate bowl.

  4. Dip each chicken strip into the egg and then into the breadcrumb/ Everything Bagel mixture. Press the crumbs into the chicken and place on a wire rack over a lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining chicken strips.

  5. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes.

  6. While the chicken bakes, make the dipping sauce. Add the sour cream, cream cheese, garlic powder, kosher salt, and pepper in a bowl. Beat with a hand mixer for 1 minute. Stir in the chives.

  7. Serve the chicken with the dipping sauce.
