Asian BBQ Chicken Wings are whole chicken wings with a dry Asian spice blend and brushed with a homemade Asian BBQ sauce
Pat the wings dry and place in a large bowl. Add the Asian BBQ seasoning, soy sauce, garlic paste, and ginger paste. Toss until evenly coated.
Cook according to one of these methods:
Traeger/ pellet grill/ smoker: Set the grill to 250 degrees. Place the chicken wings on the grill grate for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until the internal temperature is 165 degrees. Flip them halfway though. Brush with the Asian BBQ sauce a during last half hour.
Oven: Place the chicken on a large baking sheet. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until internal temperature is above 165 degrees. Brush with the Asian BBQ sauce during the last 10 minutes.
Serve the chicken wings with the extra Asian BBQ sauce on the side, garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro if desired.
Put all ingredients in a saucepan. Place over medium high heat, whisking a few times until it comes together. Once it starts bubbling, reduce heat and simmer 1 to 2 minutes, stirring a few times.
