Steak with Smoked Garlic Butter is a yummy dinner recipe with grilled steak topped with smoked garlic cowboy butter melted over top!
Put the butter in a blender or food processor. Add the smoked garlic cloves, thyme or chives, lemon juice, lemon zest, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Pulse until evenly combined.
Brush the steaks with olive oil and season both sides well with kosher salt and pepper.
Preheat the grill to medium high for several minutes. Grill the steaks 3 to 5 minutes per side, depending on steak thickness and how you like them cooked.
Let the steaks rest. Put some of the smoked garlic butter on the steaks to melt over top before serving.
