Ingredients
  • 4 cod fillets (or fish fillets of choice)
  • Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • olive oil cooking spray (I used Pam)
  • 4 buns
  • Toppings of choice: lettuce, pickle, remoulade sauce or tartar sauce
Instructions
  1. Pat the cod fillets dry on both sides and season both sides with old Bay.

  2. Crack the egg in one bowl and beat with a fork. Put the panko bread crumbs and a little more old Bay in a separate bowl and mix until combined.

  3. Dip each cod fillet into the egg and then into the panko mixture pressing the bread crumbs into the fish. Place them in the air fryer basket and spray some olive oil cooking spray over top.

  4. Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes until the fish has an internal temperature of 145 degrees and the panko is golden brown to your liking.

Note: If the fish sticks to the air fryer, gently wiggle them back and forth and lightly shake the air fryer basket until the fish releases.

  5. Serve the crispy fish on buns and add toppings of choice such as lettuce, pickles, remoulade sauce or tartar sauce.
